There are over 700,000 people in Louisville who don’t attend church. We want our church to reach those people. We don’t need to build the church with people from the church who closed down the street or from people who are disgruntled with other churches or pastors.
We want to reach people who don’t know Jesus. We are the church for the unchurched, dechurched, and over churched.
Philippians 3:13
If you had all the answers you would have fixed your problems yourself.
We have to stop judging people and have GRACE AND MERCY first. You wouldn’t be sitting here if it weren’t for God’s mercy.
Church is for the hurt and broken. God says “let me take you through a process.”
Philippians 3:15-16
We need maturity. We’re building a new house. Not every house is the same. How boring would church be if everything was the same?
Opposition is going to come when you go against what the world tells you you should do or be.
We don’t fit the mold. We don’t need to fit the mold. You can belong before you behave or even believe.
God’s mercy is endless but there comes a time that it does matter you did last night.
We have built this house on knowing God, finding freedom, discovering purpose and making a difference.
Genesis 3:1
Half a truth is a whole lie. Second hand information is causing problems in the body of Christ and marriages. We are to listen to the source and the source is Jesus.

Our “but” gets us in trouble. I know I should do this but……
But Why? BECAUSE GOD SAID SO.
Genesis 3:4
We live in a culture that promotes that we are our own Gods. Our GPS should be GodPS. God wants to divert you from all the potholes in the road.
Genesis 3:6
The devil tries to entice you with what has left your life because of God, or the thing you know is wrong.
The barriers distort our view.
God isn’t just “the man upstairs”
God is not a scorekeeper or drill sergeant.
God is not a Starwars God that is just a force out there.
God is not a Chipotle God that you get to pick and choose what you want.
God is not a Siri God. He is not just there to keep in your pocket to only use when you need something.
God isn’t a Grandpa God that is outdated.
God isn’t a President God that we just take stuff to for the big decisions. God says bring EVERYTHING to me.
Information without application can’t cause transformation.
We have expectations of God to look and be a certain way but he wants to be closer to you than a brother.
A relationship and a house isn’t built overnight. He wants us to trade our admiration for devotion. He wants us to ask questions and seek Him. He wants us to trade our knowledge for an intimate relationship with Him. If we turn off our distractions, God will speak to us.
We were created to love God. We were created to be in relationship with Him.
If you wanted to become a better person and thought you could do it by yourself, you would have already done it by now.
John 14:6
Jesus broke down all the barriers and misconceptions.
God is saying I just want you to know me. I’m not a million miles away.
God is where you left Him, He hasn’t left you. He says it doesn’t matter how far you’ve gone, He just wants you to come back to Him. Come home. Come as you are.
