Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida partners with BIG Church to host an instructional site on our church campus. Southeastern University offers an excellent college education for an affordable price and is regionally accredited. In addition to Southeastern University coursework, students choose an area of focus after they complete a practicum in each area. The areas include Kids/Youth, Production, Creative, Worship and Operations.


Spring 2021: January 13th – April 23rd

The following degree programs are offered at SEU at BIG Church in partnership with Southeastern University:


Associate of Arts, General Education
Associate of Ministerial Leadership


Bachelor of Science Ministerial Leadership


The program is designed to be a 2-year program contingent upon students completing their degree.

New class enrollment opens at the beginning of each semester.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • SEU at BIG Church offers rolling admission. Students may begin the in either the Fall or Spring semester. The full duration of the program is 2 years.

  • Upon receiving your completed application, including sending the required documents, your application will be reviewed by SEU at BIG Church staff. You can expect a response within 14-21 days

  • It’s FREE!

  • After successfully completing your two (or four) years of study you are eligible to receive an Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of Ministerial Leadership (AML) or Bachelors of Science degree in Ministerial Leadership.

  • Because Southeastern University is a regionally accredited institution, its partnership with BIG Church enables enrolled students to pay for their college experience using federal financial aid. To be eligible for such funding, the student must file an Application for Federal Student Aid, also known as a FAFSA and maintain 12 credit hours each semester. In doing so, the student may apply for federal aid in the form of a Pell Grant, Federal Stafford (student) loan or federal parent loan.

  • SEU at BIG Church runs three weekdays (Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday). In addition, we expect students to attend one service and sit one service on a Sunday, as well as attendance at BIG Church and Refuge events.

  • Yes, we allow married students as long as their spouse is in full agreement of the decision.

  • SEU at BIG Church is currently open to students 18-30 years of age with high school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • No, but we believe these are important steps in our faith and we hope that this will be a part of your college experience.

  • Having a car will be up to you personal preference. You will not be required to own one for college.

  • Yes, a laptop or desktop computer will be important to your experience as a student.

  • Unfortunately, we are unable to accept and accommodate for international students at this time.
